Welcome to the MISSION: 5 Days To Discover The Book Within program!
I’m excited you’ve decided to embark on this journey of finding the book inside you and that you’ve committed this time to growing yourself and achieving a goal you’ve been dreaming of!
Before we begin, a bit of housekeeping…if you haven’t yet read the Introduction & Instructions, go there now and read through.
Okay, let’s get started.
Day 1: Why & What Type Of Book Do I Want To Write?
Today we’ll begin by exploring your motivations for writing a book. You may not realize it, but this is important as it lays the foundation for what type of book you want to write, your perfect topic, brand and more.
Then we’ll look at some different types of books you may consider writing. Your book may be a combination of a few types. When I completed my first book in 2011 (a personal development advice book), I was in the process of writing a memoir-style musical script, a reference-type marketing manual and a light-hearted girl’s guide to style. If you can’t tell, I have many different interests and facets to my personality!

Motivation and Type of Book Handout
The handout has several questions for you to reflect on. Also, there is a list with more examples of types of books for you to consider when writing your book.
Remember, you’re evoking your muse throughout this process, so it may draw up feelings of excitement, overwhelm, being stuck or other high or low emotions. It’s all perfectly normal and part of the process, so don’t be hard on yourself!
I welcome you to post your answers, questions and experiences on the Mission Muses Facebook page, remember that’s there for support and to keep you accountable!
Here’s to your book! <3
